Hi Guys,

I have a 09 997-1.1 TT with the IPOD attachment. 25% of the time I start my car the IPOD is recognized. The other 75% of the time i need to disconnect the adapter and reconnect?

Ia anyone experiencing similar issues? Any idea what the most current PCM version is for 09 cars?

That's strange, when I go to settings I see my PCM version in as a letter not a number

I just tried my ipod this evening for the first time in my new 09 TT, don't know version number, and while it shows the ipod, library and shows that its playing, I get no sound. The cable doesn't seem to plug in very well and is easily pulled out (so had problems maintaining connectivity). I think I have either a cable problem or query whether generation 6 ipods are not compatible. I am going to check the TSB's after posting this.

I tried my iPod in my 09 Turbo; first try mauled the plugs on the cable but got a new cable, worked fine. BUT, I left it plugged in, no longer recognized (not charging?). The iPod is now plugged into a USB port on my laptop, but cannot turn on the iPod, it's just dead. (This is a brand new, Gen 6 iPod.) So far, I don't know what's going on????

jcnesq, I had same thing happen to me. You can get the ipod back to life. Make sure you let porsche know about this issue because it is happening to lots of people. I got my ipod working by trying about a dozen restart procedures and connecting-and reconnecting it to my mac. Then did a restore on the device. Now, I just have the problems that the OP mentioned above. When I start the car, the ipod is not recognized...but I hit the play/pause button a few times and all is well. You don't have to pull the cable out and mess up the pins prematurely......

I read on some other Porsche forum that newer iPods and iPhones need a different cable or adapter. My 3 yo iPod works like a champ. If I see that info again, I'll post back here on it.

This is it: http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/997/158...st-porsche.html - some conflicting info, but the gist of it sounds right. Maybe this helps.
