Non Main UK Dealer Sevicing a 986

Recommended Posts

Hi All

First off love the forum and really impressed by what some of you have done.

I've had a standard 2.8 2003 986 facelift for about 6 months now and love it. The dreaded time of its 60Kish service is coming up and while I could just pop down to the main dealer and part with loads of cash, I thought I'd see if anyone could recommend an independent servicing garage within 30ish miles of Reading in the UK. (Is there any easy method of finding out when the service is actually due?)

Thanks in advance

I guess you mean 2.7. ;)

You could try my very good friend Tony Wright at http://www.wrightune.co.uk (prices are on his web site). He's based in Wallingford, but he can drop you at Didcot or Cholsey stations if you need to get back to town.

The maintenance schedules are printed in your service book, so you should be able to work out what it needs. 60k isn't a Major service normally, but there may be Additional items due based on time or mileage.
