This started 2 weeks ago but I was on travel so now I need to address it.

Symtoms

1 - CEL

2 - At Parking lot for 12 days, clock lost time

3 - If I try to fill up with engine running (bad but I always do) sounds like cavitating blowback

4 - After I fill up, with engine off, (due to worrying noise) when auto start kicks in it struggles and I have to tickle the gas pedal to get her going, she stay around 400 revs for a while, unstable idle then ok. Drives well after these events.

My thoughts.

1 - Battery on the way out

2 - A fuel pump has stopped working leaving 1 to do all the work

3 - Fuel sytem not presurising properly (maybe Gas Cap)

Any thoughts would be a great help

1 Fault codes are crucial.

2 Parked Cayenne's, for two weeks or more without battery maintainer or disconnected battery, are always a pain for the battery.

3 No idea, i never do that.

4 Fuel pump is possible but a guess (see #1)

Thanks RFM here are all the codes

P0011 A camshaft Position Timing Over Advanced or system performance B1

P0441 Incorrect Purge Flow

2100 Footwell Flap (again)

1520 Rain/Light Sensor

Clear the code and retest after a drive cycle. How old is the battery and just to eliminate them I would have the battery tested. Engine off/key off when refueling will stop P0441 in most cases.

I agree with the thought that the battery is on the way out. Cayennes act in strange ways when the battery gets low.

As for the CELs, I have heard that adding fuel with the engine running will frequently cause them. I'd try filling up with the engine off and see if that clears it. I have also heard that the camshaft position timing CEL is quite common, especially on cars in which the oil gets a little dirty due to long intervals between changes. I actually had this issue on my Cayenne too, and an oil change did the trick.

Even when I fill up with her off now I have trouble starting

I have been told a purge valve could be responsible

I would also search in the direction of the purge flow, due the P0441 fault code, to start with. Do an oil change with approved oil (0W - 40 or 5W - 50) as Dennis suggest, you never know.

I replaced the vent valve on the motor and reset the error codes, oil change next

That sounds like a good plan. The tank vent valve is a common failure and almost always the cause of P0441 and/or hard starting after fill ups.
