Self dimming mirror help

I am in the process of adding the rain sensor as well as interior & exterior auto dimming mirrors to my 04' 996 Targa with memory seats. I have acquired most of the parts except for the exterior mirror. In reviewing the TSB 6827 there is a "kit" # 000 044 801 52 for cars with memory seats which includes a mirror base # 996731 984 0170c as well as the actual glass & other misc parts. I am wondering if I have to order the complete kit or if I can order just the auto dazzle glass #996 731 983 00 which is much less expensive. I already have a heated mirror which obviously has a base. So here are my questions. Is the base in the "Kit " differant somehow from the base that is on my mirror currently? If so how are they differant. In other words can I modify my base. Does anyone have a "kit" for sale. I am also curious as to weather or not both exterior mirrors are supposed to be auto dimming. The TSB seems to only referance the drivers side? Thanks much for any help you can provide.

Yes U can just order the auto dazzle glass($171 I believe) rather than the whole kit.

I believe auto dimmed mirror has a diff base.

wiring hardness is not included in that kit" # 000 044 801 52.

Thanks for the response but what I am trying to figure out is if I can order just the glass & not the whole "kit" to make the auto dim function work. I re-read the TSB which seems to indicate there is a 15 pin plug attached to the new base which may mean that if I want auto dimming mirrors I must have the new base unless I can order that socket separately? Yes I do have the new harness already. Any thoughts ?
