Car phone taken out?

Endless

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I'm a new owner of a 996TT, I love this car! anyway, the first owner on this car had add a car phone factory option on this car. I won't be using it at all, and the phone cable are all worn out and looks quite bad. I really want to get rid of it, can I just take it out? will it have effects on the ECU or etc.? thx

Welcome to renntech.

I see no reason why the phone can't be unplugged (cable in the center console and subsequently removed. Perhaps it is best to do tis with the battery disconnected to be safe, but it should not throw codes...Looks like yours is a right side drive....in the future it helps to state the model, MY, and origin...to get help.
