While I'm posting today, I was also hoping to get some wisdom from members on voiding a warranty with aftermarket parts. I own a 2006 C4S covered under a certified warranty and intend on installing an AWE header, cats, and muffler in addition GIAC software. Would this actually void the entire warranty or just those parts related to the modification. Only to add to my confusion Porsche of Tysons sells Tubi systems and GIAC software. It also seems odd the warranty would only be voided if the install was done outside the dealer. All thoughts welcome - thanks for the consideration.

Technically the Porsche dealer can say that anything aftermarket voids the warranty. Although there is a law on the books that states it's "on the manufacturer to prove that the aftermarket part caused the failure".

Some dealetrs will honor exhaust and Chip mods and some will not. I would just ask you dealer what their stance is.

If the dealer will only honor the warranty only if they do the install......... That seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen to me...

There are a lot of threads here on this subject if you want more info.. Do a search..
