Canyenne w/o a spare tire?

Mine has a subwoofer in the trunk instead. And to make things worse it doesn't have a TPMS. So I am just wonder how people usually cope with this.

Someone stole your spare I would think. In mine, the spare is just on top of the woofer in the trunk, bolted down. Of course the P.O. didn't bother to put the air-compressor back in, and no I don't have the air suspension.

For future notes, the touareg aircompressor and the cayenne ones are exactly the same, touareg one is 75 bux or so vs 150 for the cayenne one.

The Porsche liquid tire sealant actually works well. Always keep a fresh bottle in your vehicle -- the bottle lasts for five yeas or so and then you replace. Sunset sells them. Liquid sealant and the electric or on-board air-compressor should be all you need for the vast majority of punctures and flats.

Also, I found a Cayenne spare wheel/tire and all the mounting parts (exactly like above photo) on craigslist for $110. Fits like a charm -- 2004 Cayenne S w/subwoofer, no aux battery under subwoofer. The spare is stored not-inflated so you'll still need to inflate the spare with a compressor (before mounting). And it only has enough tread to go 50 miles at low speeds.

oops, the spare may not be useful for me. The subwoofer is too big to have enough space for the spare tire installation...

It's my understanding that not only do you need the small subwoofer, but you cannot have the second battery either. That second battery saved my behind once. Initially, the second battery was standard, then it became an option. The sub was downsized around 06/03 production, but many 04 C's have the large one -- mine does as it was built in 03/03. There has been much debate over this issue, and the net result is that some believe that the second battery is more important than the spare, some believe otherwise. Remember, there's always the goop. Anyone used the goop yet?
