New To Group. Is My Car Too Good To Be True?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone. I've been reading all your posts for a few weeks and am really learning alot. I just bought my first Porsche. My dream car since I was a teenager. Anyway, at the advise of a friend who has worked for PCNA, he recommended opening my search to the whole country, not just locally (long Island, NY). I did, and within 2 weeks, the "perfect" car showed up in a dealer in Pennsylvania.

Make a long story short -

2004 C4S cabrio

52,000 miles

Most service records, except for a 2 year interval including 14000 miles in the cars 3rd year - so everything for the last 3 years

Lapis Blue/graphite gray

Full leather

Sport exhaust

6MT with carbon fiber shifter (aftermarket it seems)

new tires and almost new brakes

aluminum sill/trim pieces

And a CPO warranty for 2 years

Paid 41,000

This car is about 10,000 less than any comparable car I was seeing in the NY area, so I dont know if it is truly a steal, or just a fair price for a non-NYC market.

Pics will follow soon!!!

Thanks for any input or guidance. I look forward to chatting with you all soon!!

Jon

sounds to me like you stole this car...laugh.gif

post up some pics, and check out the "official C4S" photo thread at 6speedonline.com. and take a deep breath when you check out all the mod possibilities, etc., esp the twin-turbo install that "Boochuk" did with his awesome car.

and consider becoming a contributing member here. Renntech is a universe of Porsche info.... as my wife says, the blackhole of P-car nuts.

welcome to the C$S group. (typo absolutely intentional.)

Absolutely will!!

As a novice to all this, when you do mods - not DIY - is there a way to find good indys locally. Dealers? Would like to find someone on Long Island for some minor tweaks - mostly interior stuff.
