The Saga contiunes

Well yesterday after changing the oil, Spark plugs and air filter. I decided to see if it might be the O2 sensors that were leading to my misfire. so I took the before cat O2 and switched it with the after cat O2 which on a 99 are the same kind. And the stopped the misfires on 1-3 cylinders but now 4-6 has the same error codes  so I decided to call it a night  and come back to it later. I have a small questions cylinders 1-3 are on the drivers side of the car right? Just to make sure that I am not losing my mind. TIA

I have a 98 and had a similar problem that was related to an O2 sensor. The code reader I used (CarChip E/X) picked up the O2 sensor problem as well as the misfires. These are shown below.

P0140 O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 1, Sensor 2)

P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected

P0301 Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected

P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected

P0303 Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected

“Bank 1" is on the passenger side of the car and "Sensor 2" is the one located downstream of the catalytic converter. Replacing the sensor solved the problem.
