Opening hood window behavior ?

Recommended Posts

Hello all, I recently bought a boxster 2.5i (986) from 1997, I wonder if its normal that the windows only go down when you open the hood but no go back to the closed/previous position?

Also I wonder if it's possible to program that the doors close automatically when you drive away?

Thank you for your response / reaction(s) :-)

With the doors closed, the windows should go up to the fully up possition after closing the top. It is possible to program the control box with a PIWIS diagnostic tool, closed with ignition on, closed while driving 5 Km/h and always open.

Hi Thanks for your reaction, is this also for my boxster from 1997? My dealer claims it was only introduced (auto window closure) on later boxsters 986's not on the 1997 ones?
