Help with Cab Control module

Looking for some help/insight into an issue that just started in my '01 Cab this week. When the car is off, key out of ignition - randomly I will start to hear the cab top control module "clicking" rapidly (like every second for different durations - sometimes 10 secs, 15 sec, etc...). Everything operationally works opening and closing the top..its just when its sitting idle I hear this relay clicking.

Is it a bad microswitch or has that control module just started dying a slow death. I took off the back cover tonite just to take out the smarttop to see if that made a difference (it didn't) and the module is HOT! That relay in there is clickindurations - sometimes 10 secs, 15 sec, etc...)
