Recommended Posts

I have the same problem cropping up...2005 with 62k miles...have replaced battery a year or so ago and new spark plug and ignition coils. I charged the battery to full overnight and it is starting up like normal again. I am think alternator cable now vs starter

Also had a hard start issue (turned over like a truck, labored and slow but would start) which became a no start issue. I looked for a parasitic drain (nothing significant). Replaced the Y cable and starter (not an easy fix but worth the work). Also needed to replace the battery. I had also gone to Autozone and they said the battery was fine... but it wasn't. It would take a charge but drain (unconnected to the car) overnight. Now the starter turns like a normal high torque starter and starts car very quickly.
