New Techart exhaust

Love my Turbo to death but was so unhappy with the exhaust note. I was able to locate a Techart exhaust that came off a lease car. It only had been on the car for a year. They list new for $5k and I was able to get this one for $2500. It's in excellent condition.

Had the exhaust installed on Friday. It was quite a bit of work. I watched the tech do most of the job. Not only did he have to remove the bumper cover but also the wheel liners, the airbox, Y pipe and the intercoolers in order to get to the bolts for the exhaust. Glad I didn't try it myself. It took him a little over 2 hours. Probably would have taken me twice that (easily)

Wow what a difference.!!. The turbos spool up faster and the throttle response is much better. A noticeable power increase as well. The sound is awesome. :clapping: Now it sounds like it should. At WOT the growl is really quite amazing. Now it's bark is as bad as it's bite lol!

I was going to take pictures yesterday but the weather was dismal and now today it's raining. I'll try again when it clears up.

If anyone is considering an exhaust upgrade I strongly recemmend the Techart or Tubi. Maybe you can find a used one like I did :rolleyes:

Lucky you, I had to pay the full price on mine but well worth the expense. It does make the car feel more snappy and I looooove that sound

Agreed! I would have ended up buying a new one as well. But luckily this one came along. And yes the sound is sooo sweet!

How is the drone or resonance at highway speeds?

The resonance is minimal at worst.. It doesn't bother me or my wife (which is the real test.) I love the exhaust and would highly recommmend it.. But... It may void your warranty if you have one. At least at my dealer it does. My dealer is not "mod friendly". Some dealers are...

So if I have an engine issue my service manager said would have to put my stock exhaust back on then take it to the dealer for warranty work..

No programming. Your ECU will re=learn by itself. I'm selling my Tech Art Exhaust (for the 997 Turbo) if anyone is interested. Comes with O2 sensor extension bungs to prevent a CEL...PM me..
