Have I got PSM fitted or just the switch?

Recommended Posts

I pressed the PSM button for the first time today and nothing happened. I would guess that the led on the switch should have lit up but nothing. That makes me wonder if theres a fault or if someone has just fitted a dash with the extra switch, it is connected so it all looks in order. Is there anything else I can check to confirm I have the rest of the required bits fitted?

When you press the PSM Off button, it should light up. An indicator on the cluster gage that says "PSM Off" should light up as well. When you first put the key in the ignition and turn it one click (but don't start car) does the cluster gage light come on? If not you may have a bad bulb on the cluster gage. Also, you can check the Options Sticker to determine if your car came equipped with PSM. Should be Options code M222.

502 is likely a specific option for your country. An OPC there might know.

Check the PSM fuse and also run a Durtametric or Porsche tester to see if there are any PSM fault codes (generic scanners will not work for this).

Thank you, I found the fuse was blown.
