AC blowing HOT air. Relay?

I have a 2003 Boxster S. When I turn the AC on, It blows heated air. The fan controls turn up as it senses it geting hotter, but the air is hot so it just keeps getting hotter and faster. The compressor is kicking in. Is there a relay that controls heat/cold? It acts as though it's stuck on heat, but everything else works as if its blowing cold air. I was hoping it is a relay, but I looked at the charts and didn't see one that would pertain.

Looks like a sensor or actuator problem, take a look if the outside temp. sensor on the right side in the front bumper is still in place, sometimes the sensor falls out the support and lies against the warm radiator. If not, using a PIWIS diagnostic tool is the best way to go.

Well, I got excited too soon. It's still doing it. Does anyone know how to test the inside and outside sensors? I have a multimeter, I just don't know what to look for.

The electric and electronic part of the AC/heater system is tested by a PIWIS diagnostic tool through a system scan. If traces of foam are blown from the vents, this means a problem with the hot/cold valve foam lining. Do a search, this item has been here several times addressed, inclusive a DIY solution. I figured out the problem and just wanted to post the solution for anyone else. The heater and AC run at the same time. There is a central flap that swings to adjust temp between the two. For me, the motor to the central flap had just become disconnected from the flap. Its at the bottom of the unit towards the center console. I just plugged it back in and it worked. The test was that the air would stay cold on the lowest fan setting, but when I turned it up, The velocity would grab the internal flap and close it so that heat only came through, You could hear it close internally. Hopefully, this will help someone else. Gotta love a free fix.
