Hi all, wondering if you can help.

A few weeks ago my drivers side window had a bit of a malfunction and started to lower the back part of the window without lowering the forward part, resulting in a twisted part opened window that then refused to move in either direction up or down.

Using the first rule of repairs to anything technical I applied brute force to return it to the up position, whilst simultanteously pressing the window up button. And now it's cured, goes up and down without problem.

However, the slight window drop that occurs when you start to open the door only happens for the back part, I have to sort of pull or push down the front section by hand each time.

Perhaps it is a friction issue, and so my question is, can I just spray loads of WD40 down the gap in between the window and the seal?

Hopefully someone else has experienced this and can help me out.

Thanks in advance!

Sam

Or there is a defect in the window mechanism, or the window (front part) is loose from the mechanism. In both cases the door trim should be removed to have a clear look inside the door.
