Update: I found a utube video that goes through the replacent process. Good detail on which parts to remove and the properTorex size drivers.

Also came across another utube where the entire stab switch is dissected; not helpful, but you can see what’s inside the module.

There is a terrific UTube video on replacement of the switch module. Going to do the R/R this Friday.

*** The T30 screws were really in tight and hard to reach. I’d recommend using a power tool to lessen the strain.

Update: mission accomplished ! A friend and I did the replacement in 2 hours. We reviewed the video several times. The video is good to a certain point . My shifter surround is solid and immovable; but it turned out that the switch could be removed after removing the side panels and 4 screws. At this point the push-in tabs on the module could be seen. We pressed them in and pulled out the module. Here’s a pic of those tabs;
