I recently (as in 3 months ago) replaced the Starter & Battery in my 997S Approx 96k miles.

When I did it no longer was hard to start and cranked perfectly with plenty of power.

Then tonight I turned the key heard a clunk and then nothing ... not even an attempt to turn over.

Lights flash really bright and then it clicks really loud but thats it.

I have the PORSCHE dealer picking it up in the AM.

Before I replaced my battery I have heard from a few other 997 owners, that starters go bad after 90k miles or at least wear out so I had a new one put in as well .....

So very nervous anyone had a similar experience.

:lightbulb:

I've not heard of many problems with the starters but the odd one with a poor cable connection under the vehicle that results in slow cranking speeds. Search the forum as it was covered here before for more details.
