Just purchased a hardtop for my 2000 s on Ebay. Quite happy with the fit, but there is a gap about the width of my finger

where the hardtop sits on the edge of the clamshell. Just wanted to know if any other owners of hardtops have the same issue

and is it normal? Haven't washed it yet so I don't know about leaks. Seems pretty quiet on the highway with just a small air leak on the

passenger side. Not that annoying, and no rattles. Overall quite happy with the addition.

Are you talking about a gap between the hard part of the top and the clam shell or between the seal and the clam shell? A gap between the hard part is normal and even necessary, the seal should be tightened on the clam shell but not too much to prevent damage on the clam shell paint. The hardtop is adjustable on both side, rear locks, there should be info relating to the adjustment procedure on this site somewhere.

Thanks for the reply. I was talking about the hard part of the top and the clamshell. The seal fits but there is a small gap between the seal and clamshell.

I guess I can adjust it to make it tighter. Just wanted to make sure there is is a gap. Thanks again.
