09 Cayenne PCM3 bluetooth

Recommended Posts

I purchased a CPO Cayenne a few weeks ago and I was told it didn't have BT module. I was looking into aftermarket NAV-TV, when suddenly the BT function appeared. I was able to pair mi iPhone with difficulty: after successfully registering the device, which correctly appears on the device list, the details show Handsfree Service v.1.5 but no connection. I am intermittently able to make the connection between phone and PCM (tried to initiate the link both from the phone or the PCM) but not able to make calls. The main problem is that the phone function is not always there, most of the times when I press the Phone button it says "Phone function not available". Sometimes I turn off the car and then back on and the phone function works, although it so sporadic that I haven't been able to go past the full connection, no calls. Could it be a loose connector?

Is there anything I can try before I take it to the dealer?

Since they had no idea the BT module was there, I am skeptical on their ability to resolve the issue...
