PASM and PSM disabled after race seats and quick release steering whee

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Just had Recaro seats, roll bar, harnesses, and quick release steering wheel installed in my '07 Cayman S with PASM and sport chrono. Air bag light is on. No problem, I understand that. However, the multi-function display says that PSM and PASM are disabled and the sport mode button does does not light. It seems to be defaulted to sport mode (spring rates increased and quicker throttle response) which is OK. Am I correct that sport mode is default under these circumstances? If so, I can live with the MFD alerts. Is there a way to reset these to manual control?

I assume you disconnected the battery to do these mods. Right? Have you driven the car yet? The PSM (Porsche Stability Management) warning light will clear within the first few block of driving after a battery disconnect. Not sure about the PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management).
