Does anyone have the instructions on how to remove and replace the shifter knob on a 2013 Cayenne base? My understanding is that the procedure is similar to the 997.2 PDK knob in that you have to twist the bottom ring counterclockwise to unlock the knob. Just want to confirm. Thanks

I don't know if you are the person I answered this for on 6speed or if you already figured it out, but here is what I got from my Tech after I broke mine:

1) Twist the bottom to unlock it. I thought it was just the nut looking part, but apparently the whole barrel beneath the "nut" twists as well. I used a rubber strap wrench, but my Tech did it with his hand.

2) Pull the button out (towards the PCM). Again my Tech could do it with his fingers, but I have to use a small pick to lever it out so I can get a good hold. This was the part that I didn't know and broke it when I went on to the next step.

3) Lift the knob off the post.

Reinstallation is:

1) Pull the button outward.

2) Slide the knob back on the post and release the button.

3) Twist the bottom back into the locked position.
