Need help with dead battery

Hello,

I have a 1999 996 C2 Coupe that the battery has gone completely dead, and I cannot open the front hood to charge or replace the battery. The lever for the hood is locked and I have checked the fuse panel and I do not have the red pole for charging on my fuse panel.

Anyone have any ideas on how I can get the front hood open to replace the battery?

Sounds like you need something with a cigarette lighter adapter so that you can turn off the central locking system and open your hood.

finally got it open. the porsche dealer faxed me a sheet with instructions to jump a car battery to c3 location on the fuse panel and while doing that put the key in the driver door and turn the key. that unlucked the hood latch. I think i might have fried the entire electrical system though. =( have to wait and see after I charge the battery.
