Help with hose part numbers or match actual pics with factory diagrams

Recommended Posts

Thank you in advance.  I have a 2002 Porsche 911 (996) C2 Tiptronic (has 3 radiators up front, more hoses).  I apologize in advance for not being able to figure this out on my own.  I have searched, for hours, but I just can't confirm which hoses and "T" connectors I need in my pictures and the corresponding part number on the Porsche factory hose diagrams.  I donated $25 today to Renntech.

Referencing my pics I need the factory part number for a 2002 C2 Tip for connectors "T1" and "T2"  and the part number for hoses marked "AA" "WP" "BB"  WP seems to have 3 separate sections (Water pump to T1, T1 to T2 section, and T2 to expansion tank section)  My pics are followed by the factory exploded diagrams.  So basically I'm looking for the hose off the thermostat and water pump and the places they go inside the engine compartment.  The WP hose ends up (part of it anyway) at the bottom of the expansion tank.  The thermostat hose ends up connected near the expansion tank too.  I suspect "T2" is leaking on hose "AA" and that is the cause of my coolant leak.

I finally solved my questions above.  So here are the answers:  In Factory Pic #2 above:  the hose marked #18 is the hose from the Water Pump to the expansion tank which includes the short hose I was calling "BB" and both "T" connectors I was calling "T1" and "T2."  The hose marked #24 is the hose that runs from the thermostat housing to "hard line" #5.   Bonus info:  The hose marked # 23 on factory pic #2 is the hose in the diagram below (red arrow).

More information about coolant hoses / water hoses part numbers.  The part numbers for the hoses I was looking for are as follows (2002 Porsche 911 C2 Tiptronic).

Water pump to expansion tank: 99640685001 or 99610685002 or 99610685004 or 99610685006  (from original part number to newest version)

Thermostat housing to hard coolant line: 99610683201  99610683203  99610683204 (from original part number to newest version)

*** Important update on part #18, the hose from the water pump to the expansion tank on a 2002 C2.  The short section of hose (about 6 inches) that connects to the bottom of the expansion tank IS A SEPARATE PART that must be purchased in addition to part #18.  This separate short section of hose is the part that includes the " T joint" I was calling "T2" in my actual photos.

The exploded parts diagram seems to clearly indicate part #18 is one part with two "T" joints.  Not true.  It's actually two separate parts.
