Bose Ampli Location on a CT MY04

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Could somebody tell me where the Bose Amplifier is located

and which Panels need to be removed to get access to it?

I've a CT MY04, with PCM, Bose and CD Changer. Under the CD Changer

on the right (close to the emergency Kit and the Triangle) there is a metallic

box, but it is labelled something like "level controler" and doesn't look

like an Ampli.

Thanks a lot for your help,

Jean

Isn't it on the same bracket as the changer, directly above the changer?

That is correct - directly above the CD-changer. It's the box with cooling fins on top.

To get access you have to pull back the top of the side panel. It's a lot of trouble but can be done. Please let me know if you really want to get into such a project and I'll post instructions.

Got it!

Thanks a lot to both of you Wingless and 356driver!

I didn't realized that there was something on top of the CDChanger...

I was looking more below...

Now indeed, I have to figure out out to get access to it, without removing this

"hard to remove" side panel...So instructions would be great!

Thanks again,

Jean

BTW My project is to see if I can insert a "Speaker Mux" into few of

the speakers wires, to connect them to a Cell Phone Car Kit (in addition to

do the "Mute all speakers", through the PCM). If the Bose Ampli access

is too hard, my alternative is to insert the Mux into few front Speaker wires

in the front doors.
