Purchased an 04 Cayenne at auction the other day finally got it here and it wont start I did the typical replace the battery since the other was dead (2 years old) as I got under the seat to change the battery I noticed some surface rust on the seat base as I was unbolting the seat, I also had moisture on the battery uppon removal.  I have complete power to everything just will not start I am seeing a message on the display saying check brake lights as well.    I have looked at the starter relay and it is clicking when you try to crank it.  also the key sometimes locks into the ignition if you try to crank it a few times requiring to push the release button in the ignition switch to remove.      (the Car came from New Jersey is my guess for the rust)

well I took it to the dealership to be looked at while on the trailer I noticed 2 drain plugs on the bottom of the vehicle one under the A pillar and one under the rear door I pulled the one out from under the pillar on driver side and about 2-2.5 gallons of water came pouring down so I think I may be facing wet/ corroded wiring.
