Control modules not recognized any longer

Recommended Posts

I have an 08 Carrera 4S that I went to the dealer for a new key.  The dealer could not program the key because none of the control modules were connecting to the PIWIS tool nore are they visible to the Durametric Pro version.  We are able to see the DME but no other modules.  They sent me on my way and said come back when there is a failure so they have something to start with.  They also said my LAPower bluetooth adapter was the cause.

I have was able to see the modules using my Durametric 4 months ago and the only change that Inhave done since was try a bluetooth ODB2 reader.

I am not sure where to start on troubleshooting and I'm not a fan of wait and see as that usually involves getting stranded.  The car functions as it should just no connections to the various modules.

Any thoughts?  Anyone have a similar experience?
