Throttle Adjustment adaptation needed frequently

Recommended Posts

Hi ya'll,

I have a 2003 Cayenne Turbo and for the past six months I have had to run the throttle adjustment adaption frequently. It could be related to the vehicle sitting for three or four days, but I have most noticed this usually after wet or very cold weather. Do I need to replace the accelerator pedal with the sensor or is something else causing the settings to fail?

After I run the adaptation, everything works fine for days or even a few weeks. It just seems as if the settings are lost like would happen if you replaced the battery or MAF. I don't know if I have a battery that is going weak when the vehicle sits for several day,  or if it is related to the wet or the cold, but this seems odd that the settings seem to disappear after some time.

In using my durametric cables, the only code I get consistently is P1541.

Thanks for any insight.
