Restarting 986 after sitting

Recommended Posts

Hello all,
Just picked a 986 that has been sitting for about 9 months (outside unfortunately). Previous owner said it was running fine when he parked it last summer, with the occasional CEL for a misfire that he thought was an injector going bad.
After putting a new battery in, the car starts but idles pretty rough and the CEL flashes after running for a couple seconds. Will be getting a OBD reader from work on monday, but thought I would see what steps you all suggested for essentially restarting a car after 9 months.
What I have planned so far mechanically wise:

Clean MAF (airbox looked brand new)
Drain as much old fuel as possible, put in fresh 93 octane
Replace fuel filter
Pull packs and plugs to get a look at them (supposedly new in 2022)
Pull codes and diagnose misfire (assuming injector, bad fuel, Cam sensor, or MAF)
After sorting misfire, change oil, coolant.
Power steering fluid and brake fluid looked ok for now but will eventually replace.

What else am I missing?

Thanks
