Ignition switch replacement

Hello, I replaced the ignition switch on my 2003 996 targa because the key was getting stuck, and now when I go to start the car all the lights and sounds happen normally, but the engine/starter is not turning. Everything was working fine prior to replacing the ignition switch, so I don't think it's anything major. Fuses, clutch ignition switch check ok. Battery was disconnected for 3 days and had low voltage 12 volts the first time I tried to start after replacing switch, but it's fully charged now and still won't start. The only fault msg I see is "airbag fail" and that was not showing prior to ignition switch replacement.

I would say you have a electrical connection issue with the switch.

One other detail I just tried, I reinstalled the old switch and now I'm getting the same problem even with the old switch.
