HELP! I Was driving along with the roof down, loving life, when the alarm started going off.

I pulled over and took the key out and tried to ‘lock/unlock’ but no joy.

The alarm kept going off all the way home

I put the roof up and tried again, but the same.

When I press the key I get a double beep of the horn and the doors don’t lock, then the alarm goes off again shortly after.

Both doors, the front end and the engine compartment are all nicely closed, as is the roof.

Both keys are good and the same thing happens with both keys

In the footwell fuse box, the 15a fuse at C3 (central locking / alarm system, power windows, inside lights) was blown! When I replaced it the new one immediately blew as I was putting it in.

I disconnected:

-Lights in both door cards
-Reading lights in top panel
-All window switches and ashtray lamp
-Rocker panel switch for roof

Still blowing fuses as soon as I try put one in

My cheap code reader doesnt show any codes

No lights on dash

The rocker for the ‘open/close’ doors isn’t illuminated which I could swear normally is?

under the drivers seat is immaculate with no signs of any issues at all. No water evidence, etc.

Battery is good (new Bosch one and 12.6v

Alternator's good (Batter has nearly 14v with engine running)

Both keys are good

Car starts and drives etc lovely but alarms keeps going off.

Appreciate any advice

2003 C2

Thanks
Ben

A few days ago, I had the car jacked up with the drivers side in the air

ive done a couple of hours of driving in it since and it’s been perfect, so don’t think it will be, but is the level/tip sensor thing relevant?

Also, when I was driving today and everything was normal, the first ‘blip’ the alarm made before sounding a few minutes later was just after I had to brake hard. Don’t know if relevant but worth a mention 🤔
