I have a 2005 987 Boxster S manual and am hoping for some assistance please.

Our instrument cluster all seems to be working perfectly except for 2 issues which we originally thought weren't instrument cluster releated but now arent sure. Firstly we have a brake sensor warning fault, we checked all the brake sensors and they all tested fine but we still have a fault on the cluster. Secondly we recently had the engine out due to a cylinder head welsh plug issue, all fine and running perfectly but the oil level isnt reading correctly on the cluster it is just flashing low. We changed the oil level sensor cleared everything and that seemed to then read correctly but the next morning without driving was back to flashing again. My mechanic now seems to think this could be instrument cluster related, any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If the cluster has ever been taken out there is a chance that they did not get all the plugs re-inserted properly (making poor contact). I would start with that and re-test.
