My car 1977 Targa 9117201966 has been heavily modified and  converted to 993 turbo look cab I am  trying to figure out which engine was installed in the car

Engine number is 63F03248

No factory engine numbers started with 63F so it can be hard to determine what modifications have been done.

A 2.7 liter would have been factory installed - but those engines were easy to upgrade to 3.0 or even 4.0 liters (with head stud replacements and different cylinders).

Further investigation would be need to determine what is in the car now.
