Hi

New member, long time visitor for help and info.

This time I need some extra help.

After installing aftermarket front bumper with led lights I was getting the lights errors but after installing resistors it went away.

(I don't think bumper has anything to do with what is going on now ???? )

Suddenly on my way home from work - check engine and misfire.

DME Control System - P0300 misfiring, checksum error - P0301 misfiring, cylinder-1 - P0304 misfiring cylinder-4

PSM Control System - 5400 Fault sport mode - 4444 Steering-angle sensor not initialized

Gateway Control System - 8007 implausible signal - Gateway incorrect coding

PCM2_MMI Control System - 8007 Wake-up line faulty

Chronometer Control System - C112 No signal / communication - Faulty, display CAN

Driver Door Control System - 8003 Lower limit value exceeded - Door entry light

Front Control System - 8021 No signal / communication - Front luggage compartment light  C140 No signal / communication - communication instrument cluster display.

PASM Control System - 000B - Control unit faulty - C203 Fault, steering wheel electronics control unit - drive

Passenger Door Control System - 8003 Lower limit value exceeded - Door entry light

PCM Control System - C140 Communication instrument cluster - display

TPM Control System - C131 communication gateway control unit ( CAN comfort ) - C140 Communication instrument cluster - display

VEH. ELECTRICAL SYS. Control System - C140 No signal / communication - Communication instrument cluster - display

I noticed multiple C140 codes - ???

Left and right door may be aftermarket led lightbulb

After this happened I replaced sparkplugs and coils and installed new battery - still same problem

Any input greatly appreciated.

Can you temporarily disconnect the new LEDs and see if the error codes are eliminated? New codes might pop up due to the lights being disconnected...

Still Fighting the misfire, local shop checked some things and found that my battery cable, the bolt that goes through the fire wall and starter / alternator cable needs to be replaced ( starter also )  before they go farther with diagnostics.

$720 for diagnostics  and $4000 to replace above parts (parts included)

Payed for diagnostics and did all work myself.

Still same problem - misfire on cyl-1 and sometimes on 3  ( misfire on 4 was just loose coil from my sloppy install )

work in progress  😞

Did you reset the codes and now they have come back?

Is it misfiring when idling? While driving part throttle? Wide open throttle?

What coils and plugs have you changed?

If you have changed plugs, how did the old ones look? Oil covered? Eroded? Smelled like gas? Sooty?

Are you on fresh gas or two+ month old gas?

Do you have a Durametric? Can you monitor some live values like fuel trim, camshaft deviation, etc.?
