CD changer for 2003 Boxster S

Hello,

I have a 2003 Boxster S with Bose with a CDR-23 head unit. Will the CDC-4 changer work in this car? From what I understand, there are a couple different varieties of the CDC-4. I am buying the changer used.

Type: CDC 4

Modell-No: BE 6605

Serial-No: C00+0184

Porsche 996.645.140.02

VW-P/N: 7L5.035.111A

How difficult is the installation? What other parts will I need.

I think the CDC-4 changer we put in Raman's 2003 Boxster S last year was 996 645 140 01. This is still a good part number but there is a newer number, 997 645 140 02. Double check your part number.
