correct part numbers for front and rear wipers?

Recommended Posts

Help Loren,

I ordered a set of wipers for my 99 996 c2 and they don't seem to be the same. The new set for the fronts only has 1 of the speed flaps whereas my stock ones have then on both. Also the new rear has the speed flap on it where the one on the car doesn't.

Ideas?

The part numbers on the boxes state:

996 628 04 500

996 628 901 08

Thanks.

Wierd so the passenger wiper doesn't have a wind deflector but the rear one does? Seems backward especially with what's on there now???

Can you confirm other than the part numbers which should have the wind deflectors??

Can I use two drivers wipers so I have the wind deflectors? (I like them and do drive over 150 ehem often)

thanks. :)

Great. one last question I notice with the trico blades they have like 5-6 different ones. Some say narrow, some say oe fit some say other. There is however only 1 bosche part number whether the micro edge or not. Make me want to consider either going bosche although the tricos have teflon ones??? I think I might bring the arms in along with a caliper and guage the best fit.

Threw in the towel and am going to stick with the factory ones :) The bosche and trico arms were almost the same cost. The refills didn't come in teflon (the only reason for the refill ave.) Further they came in narrow and oe sizes and I couldn't tell which would be better, so..... yeah
