Extended Warranty for 99 996 Cab

Recommended Posts

I bought a '99 996 Cab recently with 58K miles. Had PPI done with "sound mechanical condition". After reading some of the posts from this forum I was worried about all the repairs for this model year. So I began shopping around for extended warranty program and found the following:

AccessWarranty.com has a program called Elite Plus for $3,395 for 4yr/100K mile. Is this a good deal? Have you heard or use of this company before? If not what do you recommend? I live in Dallas.

Thanks

I just bought a 99 coupe with 25000 miles myself. It was porsche certified and 2 year warranty. In 2 months I have already had a little less then 4000 dollars of work done including the coolant tank, oil tank, brakes, and some other minor stuff. Most of this was covored.

There is no doubt that the warranty is worth every penny. I am not sure about that company and I can tell that if you can get it Porsche certified it would probably be worth it. i have heard that porsche is very reluctant to certify a porsche not sold by a dealer but they might for the right price.

I strongly recommend a warranty for any used car -- particularly a porsche -- particularly the 99 996.
