I would like to lower my car about 1", I purchased a set of EIBACH PRO-KIT SPRINGS system. It is very difficult to change it by myself, I came across with some article show how to replace those springs. Can anyone tell me after changing the springs, do I have to do any other follow up work on the car, such as checking the aligment, brake and etc...

If you had done it before, please let me know it is just a simple wrap of the factory spring with the EIBACH PRO-KIT spring, or ther is a lot of other concern too

usually a 4 wheel alignment would be recommand after lowering the car

I went with the same kit for my car. The fronts are not hard to do and took about an hour. The rears are more complicated and time consuming about 3-4 hours. If you do not have experience and the tools(jack, stands, air compresor, spring tool clamp etc), I would not recomend doing it yourself. After lowering it you will most definately need an alignment no matter if you removed the ball joints or not. (even if your car drives straight etc)

Thomas, I had my Eibach's done at the dealer. I spoke to them first before ordering; they quoted me $225 to install, they also recommended an alignment which they didn't charge me full price for since they were doing the spring install. All totaled I think it was around $350.

how much does the springs kit cost?

I recently lowered my car utilizing H&R sport springs. Dropped the car around 1.4". Had a complete alignment done afterward as all the angles changed. Springs cost $300 and installation/alignment was $650. Money well spent.

Just curious as to your experiences after lowering the car 1.5" or so, do you scrape when you encounter speed bumps or like objects? Do you encounter any other problems with everyday street type driving because of the lowering?

how much does the springs kit cost?

I have a brand new set of Eibach pro kit springs for sale if anyone is intrested. The First $200 usd takes them. You cover the shipping as well.

I was going to put them on after I purchased my new wheels to enhance the look, but the new wheels was all it needed in my opionion. Send me an email if you are intrested.

No problem with street driving. However, be very careful on entrance/exit inclines. I was pulling out of the gas station the other day and scraped the bottom of the nose because the incline was a bit more than it could take.
