  2. Hi all, I dropped the bolt that goes in the valve cover and holds part of the wiring harness while taking it off and lost it to the abyss unfortunately. Does anyone happen to know the part number or thread size for this bolt? This is for a 2007 957 4.8L V8 Cayenne S. I have looked all over but cannot for the life of me find it. Much appreciated!

  4. It worked! Thank you very much!

  6. Welcome to RennTech The factory radio had a ground wire that had to be attached to the car's chassis under the dash as a simple anti theft device. If that ground is not there, the immobilizer will prevent the car from starting.
  7. Hi all, I am also in need of a code for my Radio CDR 22 Model: BE6621 Serial Number: 25009627 Thank you very much!
  8. Awesome, Loren - that did the trick. Made sure to jot in down for future reference Thank you ... ... Mark
  9. Unfortunately we do not.
  10. That sounds like an immobilizer issue. Someone with more extensive knowledge will probably step in here with more information. Do you have a repair manual for the car?

  12. Hi guys new to the forum.. My stepson picked up a '99 boxster and the guy said it won't start ever since the radio was stolen. We've checked all the relays. We've got spark to the spark plugs. The fuel pump will work if I bypass it but we can't get power to the fuel pump. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance
  13. Try 7069
  14. Put new pads, rotors, and hardware in on the stock brake setup in my '21 Cayenne E-hybrid and I've got a bit of dragging, most noticeably in corners. I've only driven about 10 miles and did a bunch of hard stops to try and break everything in. Going straight down the road everything seems okay, but in corners I can hear them dragging pretty bad. Thoughts? Where'd I likely screw up?
  15. Hello all ... I recently bought a '98 Boxter, but unfortunately, didn't receive the owner's manual or any other documentation other than the title. I disconnected the battery to install a new one, and apparently the radio lost function that's now asking for a 4-digit code. I read about the issue on several other Porsche forums, but just saw a post on the 986 forum that someone mentioned contacting Loren to access the code. Loren suggested that I post the pertinent info in this thread, so here goes: The radio is a CR-210, Model No. BE2182, Serial No. V5006421 It'd be great if you might possibly be able to help with the issue? Thanks ... ... Mark
  16. Thank you Loren! It works perfectly
  17. Try 1451

  23. 955 512 528 00 Gas filled strut US MSRP $37.54 (each)
  24. I'm in the process of replacing the gas struts, but I"m having a problem finding the correct strut for the powered hatch, I found the ones for the glass but I can't find the correct one for the power hatch does it not have one cause of the power lift?? I found this part number but I'm not sure it's the right one. (955-512-550-07) thanks
  25. Sorry I have not replied. I did not buy the Cayenne it belongs to a friend of mine and I enjoy working on them when I have time so I spend a few days a week fixing stuff. It been fund and I love finding something that is bad from either age or the last repairman messed something up. so far I have replaced both valve cover seals with the cam actuator seals and spark plug tube seals and new spark plugs. I also replaced the vacuum pump and fixed the power brake vacuum hose that was cracked on both ends, I also replaced the purge valve. I also made a new vacuum line from the oil air separator to front timing chain cover out of copper pipe with rubber ends. I was very pleased to see how nice the motor runs now. I also replace the rear hatch actuator to unlock the rear hatch before you would hit the button but it would not unlock you had to use your finger to manually unlock it from the inside. that's fixed now. Right now I have the head liner and the sunshade off and getting ready to clean the old headliner before I put in the headliner but, before I put back the headliner I'm going to replace both struts for the rear hatch, the glass does not stay up at all and the hatch does stay up but it slams when its closing. I also fixed the drivers seat back cover that kept coming off, I ran a screws 1/4 through bottom of the back cover to hold it to the seat. I have to do the same thing to the passenger side seat too. once I have everything fixed inside the car I need to see what the oil leak it has/had is coming from it could be from old valvecover seals that I replaced or the transmission is leaking. when he first dropped off the car the oil leak was massive and now after the work I have done to the car the oil stain is a drop so that may be fixed, but I need to see and make sure. Oh I'm having a problem finding the struts for the hatch the car has the power liftgate, I find the struts for the glass but I can't find for the power lift gate, does it now use struts for the hatch on the power lift get?
  26. Try 8458
