  1. John Speake (a fellow Brit) has designed a device to tune the 928. He also has proven chips that will net the same if not more power and torque than what you are stating for just over 100 dollars US. Look him up. No affiliation.
  2. Your symptoms mimic the symptoms of Thrust Bearing Failure. Drain the oil and cut open the filter. Look at the residue from the filter on a piece of paper. Chances are that you will large amounts of metal. Release the tension on your flexplate and measure the endplay of the crank-forward and backwards. Post those values here and my bet is those measurements will be out of acceptable limits. If that is the case, you will need to find a good shortblock to install in your car. 928 International has a 1/2 price sale going on right now. Good luck.
  3. Check the vacuum line that goes from the 5way(?) splitter by the brake booster to the modulator on the transmission. If the line will not hold vacuum, the shifts will not be smooth, but more abrupt and rough.
  4. Hello all I need the radio activation code for a new to me Becker CDR-220 Model BE 4462 and Serial number XS027176. Thanks in advance, John Curry

  6. Since your fan is aftermarket, my bet would be that the aftermarket relay under the hood has gone bad. Replace the relay.
  7. BUT, it could be something as simple and easy as tightening the 10mm bolts that hold the pan to the lower block(cradle). These bolts tend to work themselves loose since they have a very very low torque value which is necessary since they are tightened into aluminum which will strip out easily. Do your self a favor and have a PPI done BEFORE purchasing the car. It may well be the best $200 you ever spend on the car.
