List Mates, I have a 2002 996 c4. When my Air conditioner compressor is activated the volume of air coming out of the vents is decreased dramatically. It still blows cold but just very very low volume or amount. I have had it recharged , checked leaks , replaced condensors etc but nothing changes. As soon as you switch the ac off ( snowflake button) the volume of air through the vents goes right back up. Volume of air is fine on heat , defrost etc. I have never had this issue with any other vehicle. Any ideas as to what the problem may be? -
has anyone ever recharged their AC? I have a 2005 Cayenne Turbo. I noticed the other day the AC is not as cold as it used to be. Has anyone used AC Pro to recharge their AC? I believe the refrigerant is the same as what Porsche uses. Is this something that a novice can attempt, or will this damage the AC system by using an after market refrigerant that is not from Porsche? -
Let me start by saying I'm not a mechanic, so I do not know the names of certain parts. This is of a 2004 Porsche Cayenne Turbo w/ 4-Zone Climate However, what I do know is, the A/C electric motor (955.624.915.01) under passenger side dash is steadily going back and forth regardless of A/C or Heat On/Off, High Low, Dash,Floor, Etc. It connects to a flap on the passenger side firewall. Pictures are of the same part, just different angles. My question is this. How do I test this electric motor to determine if it is bad? Or could something else be bad causing the motor to constantly move? Any response will be appreciated.

I'm looking for any suggestions, 1st hand experience or not in trying to figure out what to do re: this issue. Lately it seems that when I hit the auto button on the air conditioning, the fan speed does not seem to increase to where I am accustomed to seeing it go in order to cool the car. In other words, in a hot cabin after hitting the auto button, I used to see the fan increase to maybe 75 or 80% with the temp set to 73. It now goes to maybe 50% or less and then I have to increase the fan speed manually. The system does cool just fine if I do the adjusting(fan) manually. Another thing I've noticed now is when I put the AC in re-circulating mode, the fan speed decreases while all the times before this it use to increase speed after going in re-circulating mode. I'm trying to figure out what the problem may be. Thanks! -
Ok, so here's the story. AC was working perfect. Out of the blue, zzzzzz no air. Nothing! Just dead :drive:. Durametric Pro says typical code 353: "Feedback from blower regulator front, value below lower limit value" Battery was replaced as it was giving me a hard time... It was replaced 2 days ago... There's no voltage to the plug that goes to the blower... No voltage to the blower blue regulator behind the glove box [plug with dual wires brown and black]... Fuses are all perfect on the engine bay, right side, left side and even I checked the ones under the driver's seat that I didn't know there was a 40A and a 5A fuses when the battery was replaced. Curious thing is that I tested voltage delivered to fuse 57 and it was 10.38 volts.... All these tests were performed with the Cayenne running and AC fan at all different speeds. I think I made a so far good troubleshooting but, don't know where else to look... I also checked the wiring diagrams, but feel kind of lost -_- . I also made a search here at :renntech: but not as far as I have gone in the troubleshooting... Any more ideas? :help: :lightbulb: :thankyou:

I have searched and searched this forum and the Internet but can't seem to find anyone else with my issue. Last week, I got in the car and the A/C came on full blast, but no air came out of the vents. I turned it off and then back on a few minutes later and it worked. It kept working the next several days and then it did it again. Now it has died completely. When I turn the fan speed to max, a tiny bit of cool air comes out, but I can barely feel it. The 2 A/C & Heat fuses are fine and there are no codes in the CEL. I have the classic foam in the duct issue and worry that it's clogged the fan, but I can't hear the fan starting at all, but I do hear the A/C turn on and some other electronic/mechanical noises when I turn the fan on or off with the controls. Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong? As a Floridian with 90+ degree days, your help is much appreciated!

I have a 2004 996 carrera with an aircon problem. Basically the air coming out of the vents is cool but not cold. I thought this was down to the system needing re gassing so I had this done. The performance seemed to improve for a short time but is now under performing again. Also the AC compressor clutch seems to be engaging/disengaging every 15-20 seconds on tickover. Has anyone had a similar experience or can shed any light on this matter. Cheers Mike.
