Thx! I cannot tell you how many times my wife has said how much she loves to drive it. I have to say I enjoy driving it myself :)

So far so good on the carefree miles. The known bugs are there (rear wiper fluid leak, alarm, etc) but really that does not take away from the enjoyment of driving.

Would love to have you guys join in on the experience. :)

Just picked up a 2015 Macan Turbo yesterday!  It will be my wife's DD as well.  It is a great drive so far!  Any insights or things I should be on the lookout for?

 

Also, anyone have the correct pronunciation of this beauty?

I put lots of miles on my 911sc, and am now putting miles on my 996 C4S.

I've never before considered an SUV.  My wife now drives a 2018 BMW X5 as her DD.

Due to an upcoming knee surgery, I'm considering a PDK for the first time.

I always thought I'd drive my 6-speed forever.  Well, "it sucks to get old."

I'm fascinated with the Macan, haven't driven one yet, but have read lots of info.

This is a great thread on Renntech.  

I'd appreciate comments, pro or con, to help a dedicated 911 owner/driver decide what to do.

I'm about 4 months into my 2015 turbo. I really enjoy it. It's got incredible power. I wouldn't call it a downside but some may not like that you can't really feel the speed and acceleration. It is so smooth it is shocking sometimes to look down and see you're over 100. 100 feels like 50! The pdk is very impressive. My wife can drive it like a lady and I can push it hard and it handles both perfectly.

As a new 2017 Macan 2.0L owner, it's the baby brother to the bigger power plants for sure but in Sport Mode it does very easily get out of it's own way quite nicely. On the highway you have no real feeling of speed until you realize you are passing cars and then glance down and go UH OH I'm 20 mph OVER the posted limit. It's time to pay closer attention. With the PDK in 7th gear you are flying and don't realize it. I have had it up to 110 and it felt like 55. ROCK SOLID and very quiet.

 

Great vehicle so far and it has all the bells and whistles we need in a compact SUV. I believe they have hit another home run and everywhere we take it someone askes us what that is.  :)
