For a MY? (2002 on is different)
Black or Silver?
Coupe, Cab, or Targa (they are all different)?
-
The clutch pedal and brake pedal share the same (axle) shaft so chances are they overtightened it or left a bushing out. I would make them fix it since they screwed it up.
-
In MY99 all of the 18" factory front wheels were 7.5" except for the (then not sold in the US) GT3.
Most of the wheel weights were similar. For example -
Sport Design:
7.5J x 18 - ET50 - 25.13 lb
8J x 18 - ET52 - 26.45 lb
10J x 18 - ET65 - 28.88 lb
BTW... this info is in your Owners Manual (page194)

That is the only pic/part number list I know of. The Porsche parts catalog has drawings and they are quite small at that.
-
The Porsche (in car) short shifter and the B&M short shifter are the same shifter. B&M is painted blue and the Porsche is painted black - which you don't see anyway.
I think Tool Pants posted a side by side photo somewhere here...

Most of them are here.

997 044 900 80 PCM 2.1 Retrofit Kit for Europe - I show a US retail price of $2601.63 so your country price will vary. The supplying OPC should give you the installation TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) - if they don't then buy it somewhere else.
-
Try the folks at Sunset Imports (see Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost at the top menu).
If you car is a non-turbo 1987 911 then you will need 911 355 011 12 Master cylinder - retail $239.20. I'm sure Sunset Imports has a much better price...

Looks to me like there was a major software revision and that you may not be able to upgrade. If it can be be upgraded then I am sure it can only be done with a dealer PIWIS tester.

From a June 22nd, 2005 Sales Bulletin:
Sales bulletin #79, published May 9, 2005, announced factory installation of Navigation discs. Factory installation was phased in as the standard installation method, as of mid-April Production. In 987 and 997 models with Navigation, the DVD is located in the front trunk, inside the plastic bag of vehicle components. In Cayenne models, it is located in the center console lower compartment. If you receive a new vehicle with a production date of mid-April or later, and that vehicle does not have a DVD navigation disc in the vehicle, do not install a NAVTEQ supplied disc before verifying the software version. The latest software version is notcompatible with previous versions.Instructions for identifying Software
1. Press the PCM Main and Trip buttons simultaneously.
2. Allow system to recognize installed components (several seconds)
3. Highlight “PCM” and press the button to identify software version.
4. In “actual,” versions 04035xxx and 04202xxx use NAVTEQ DVD’s.
5. Version 05024xxx uses Porsche supplied DVD’s.
Your service department may also utilize the PIWIS tester to identify the PCM 2.1 software generation.
The latest generation PCM software utilizes map disc version 04.2005 or later, which is identified on the disc. These discs are installed at the factory, and additional copies will be available through your Porsche parts department. NAVTEQ does not supply these discs.
NAVTEQ will continue to supply map discs for vehicles with PCM Navigation systems prior to mid-April 2005. For your convenience, an updated NAVTEQ order form follows this bulletin. If you have placed an order June 15 or later, and did not receive a DVD, please resubmit using the updated NAVTEQ order form.

Scouser... is the bucket part of an elaborate alarm system?

Yes, that is the default setting on your MY car if the OBC has been enables. Otherwise that display would be blank.

Tire Rack has a really good explanation of offset here.
You have a couple of challenges here. Fact - we know 18 x 8 ET 40 and 11 x 18 ET 63 will work on a narrow body because they are used on the GT3 (mk2). So, now you have to wonder about clearance with a 19 wheel and the tires that will fit those wheels. Some tires may work and others may not. The places to check are inner suspension clearance (including shock rebound), outer fender lip, read swaybar, and tie rods in the front.
Because of the variety of tires out there you simply may not know until you (or someone else) try.
