  2. How are you guys finding these?

I did a google search for this Kindel site - and found it - but it is down - and all of the other sites out there just point to his site.

So far I have been able to find very few of mine.

Any help or direction that you guys can provide would be great.

Seems Porsche should have a database with a search engine on their site for this need.

    Thanks,

    Kirk

There is a (non-printable) list in the Porsche parts catalog -- by model - by year.

It usually has 99.5% of them.

If you want help on these then I will need to know exact model, year and US/Canada car or RoW car.

  3. Not repairable?  Is it a sealed tranny or something like that?  I've just never heard of such a thing so I'm wondering what would make it unrepairable.  That would be really frustrating.  Usually if you have one gear out, you replace the gear and any other little thing in there that may have been damaged by a piece of flying metal and go about your business.

No, not sealed. Porsche does not supply internal parts for either the 5 speed or 6 speed Boxster/Carrera transmissions. Only limited parts are available for the GT3 transmission (mainly gear sets). Porsche claims that it is cheaper and better for the customer to get a rebuilt (exchange) transmission from their vendor.
  4. Hi, I'm looking for the brake pads sensor jumper plugs referenced in an 03/03 TSB for the GT3:

    http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?a...ownloadv&id=604

The part number is 964 612 026 70 (jumper plug)

I called two different dealerships and they say they can't order that part.

I also called Porsche Motorsports and they reminded me they don't order parts for lowly street cars. :)

So I'm wondering where can I find this part???

    Thanks!

All the rest of those parts on the that list ("Brake Pads for Racing Circuit Use") are Porsche Motorsports part numbers. Sorry...
  5. The MAF is on the round tube that goes to the throttle body. The connection comes off by squeezing the two tabs on the connector while pulling. Some folks have been able to loosen everything in the car and lift the top half enough to get the old filter out and the new filter in. I personally like to take the whole thing out and clean it out before putting a clean filter in.
