Although likely possible - probably not practical from a financial point or time and effort. You don't have the wiring in the harness for the relays, switches and control indicator, the wheel sensors, the rate-of-turn sensor, the lateral acceleration sensor, the steering angle sensor, the brake booster pump, the DME program changes, or control module.

I think all you need is the RTS (986 801 055 01 - updated part number) and one of carriers:
Ski Holder (996 801 091 00)
Bicycle Holder (000 044 000 48) (updated part number)
Surfboard Holder (996 801 019 00)

If your car is a US/Canada car and you want an official list then you can order a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. The cost id about $95 as I recall but they will send you an official statement of what factory options came with the car. Here is a link to download the order form PCNA Certificate of Authenticity
Or, you could look for a sticker under your front (should also be one in the original owners manual) that has a list of codes on it (i.e. 030, 696, etc.etc.). Post those codes here and we can help decipher them.

Looks like it should be going to the battery vent. Does your battery have a vent? - it should.

An RoW car is one built for markets outside of the US and Canada. So your car is a US/Canada legal car.
-
US or RoW car? The alarms are different.

Do a search for instrument cluster - there is lots here.

Behind the front bumper. Less than an hour to replace both.I have a horn gone bad also. Where are they located in the car? Easy to replace? Thanks
See the DIY Section 3rd Radiator Install for instructions on how to remove the front bumper.

1. 285's with the caveat that you need at least 8" front wheels to balance out the handling. Ala GT3 mk1.
2. As negative as suggested specs allow. A little more tire wear but improved handling.

The only instruction I have a re for the GT3 Club Sport bar. I think the 4 point bar is the same as the full roll cage (6 point) without the front section. Perhaps they are similar enough to help. I'll send you a PM.

I am aware of that - of course you can add Porsche parts - that is what we help folks with here. When you said aftermarket I assumed you meant non-Porsche parts. In many cases Porsche prohibits their suppliers from re-selling parts or systems designed for Porsche. There have been a few exceptions but I think your best bet is to try a Porsche parts discounter like Sunset Imports (Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost link at the top of the page).

You need to state what year, model and current sound system your car is. Some of the later MOST (fiber optic) systems are hard to add on to.

I personally would not touch an RMS that is not leaking. All the other clutch parts are subject to wear but if a seal is dry I would not touch it.

997 553 118 01 9L4 Leatherette Lateral Cover (right) in black - retail price shows as $0.00 so they will likely have to fax PCNA for a price.
-
997 553 118 03 FSA Leather Lateral Cover (right) in black/grey
If you have option 981 then this is part number - if not you will need the leatherette version.

Yes, there is a sensor in the engine compartment. Here are the conditions that he fan should come on at.
Switch-on conditions for engine compartment fanThe engine compartment fan is switched on when the engine compartment temperature is > 80 °C
or
the coolant temperature is > 102 °C.
After-running of engine compartment fan
If the ignition is switched off and the engine compartment temperature is more than 60 °C, the DMEcontrol module remains in readiness for another 20 minutes. During this time, the engine compartment temperature is retrieved every 10 seconds. If the engine compartment temperature is > 85 °C, the engine compartment fan is switched on for 20 seconds. If the engine compartment temperature is still> 85 °C after this time, the fan remains on for a further 30 seconds.

I made some comments about those manuals here.

I sent you the instructions...Thanks for the reply djantlive I have got a long black bar with airbag written on it under the airbag cover ( i just had a look) is this what i need to pry out (2001 boxster s) -
I think you are referring to the door airbags - and he wants the passenger airbag. You just pop out the silver "AIRBAG" tab with a plastic knive or cover a screw driver with some rubber glove. Those tabs can be easily scratched. -

Tower Strut Brace for C2 1999?
in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)
Posted
Well... the strut that comes on a Carrera (standard) and the GT3 Cup Cars are the same (see below). So if a Cup Car does not need an additional strut brace why would a Carrera? I rest my case. :soapbox:
