Best to scan for fault codes using a Porsche compliant scanner.
-
Or... the bracket that hold the solenoid is cracked. That happened on 996TT a few times.
-
P0021
Possible fault causes
- Dynamic driving style when oil level is near minimum (oil foaming)
- Solenoid hydraulic valve faulty
=> (e.g. mechanical fault or dirt in the oil circuit)
- Oil pressure too low
=> (e.g. due to oil dilution, oil thickening, wrong oil quality, fault in oil pressure control or oil pump)
- Intake camshaft adjuster faulty
- Camshaft stuck (incorrect or faulty installation) -

Bumper Plugs can do that...
Rear Center Console - 996/986
BUMPERPLUGS.COM
Custom paint-matched or contrasting console, finished in 19 stage factory chemistry to brighten up Porsche interior. -
You could try either Becker or Siemens repair centers.

Didn’t seem to work - started flashing the first digit again after entering
Is that the serial number as displayed on the unit or the serial tag on the top or back?
The serial tag may not be correct if the unit has ever been repaired - even by Becker.
If a third party ever repaired they didn't reset serial number properly - if that is the case I can't help you.

Porsche alarms were option on Boxster. M535 is the correct control unit.
The alarm horn should be down to the right of the battery and is just the horn. Sometimes it is hard to see.

Hello, I have a porsche 996 2002 automatic Cabriolet with the IMMO M534 433Mhz. I have to buy a key fob transmitter but in the catalog there are several models, I want to know how to find exactly the part number I need.
Give your dealer/OPC your VIN and they can tell you which key fob can be programmed to your car.
