This thread is awesome! I need some help with my radio. The model is BE 2582. Serial number Y5007985.
From the Lost Radio Code FAQ...
"Can you give me a code for my PCM?
These units are manufactured jointly by Siemens and Becker, and the only place where you can get the codes required is from the dealer/OPC. The PCM’s require two codes, the ICS/Siemens code, and a Becker code. The ICS is the first code requested.
Sorry, the only place you can get a PCM code is from a dealer/OPC." -
There are several brake options, different size rotors, etc., including ceramic rotors.
PM me your VIN and I will lookup which fit your brakes.

OK; I just had some 70K service done on my 2006 987, no problem.
But, in the recommendations box it says to replace the fuel pump and filter.
IDont understand how that could be recommended on an excellent running. 987 !
any thoughts ?
Your fuel pump and filter are inside the gas tank.
I would not go in there unless you are having problems. It's easy enough to measure the fuel flow should a potential problem arise.

As long as thay are the "big tube" design they will work on any 996 (as shown on Carnewal.com).
It is the "small tube" version that Porsche says to use only on 3.4 liter cars.

Do you know if it would effect any HVAC controls if I left in the display with the incorrect graphics.
Sorry, I don't/

Perhaps if your battery is low and it is on a long time. But in most cases it will turn on and slowly charge the battery then turn off until the voltage falls to a certain level. So once established in should only go on about once a week.

Thanks Loren but I'm looking for an original Eisenmann PSE approved for road use (OEM version).
These exhausts all have the same reference number except for the last two digits and I can't figure out which references to choose (00, 04, 05...) that are compatible with a 996 4S (and if possible with big tubes)..
On one site, I'm told that they have the part number that ends with 05 "big tubes" for a great sound (112dB). But do all 05s have a big tubes ? On another site, I see one ending in 00 but I don't know if it's a big tube and if it's compatible with a 4S...
What Carnewal sells is OEM Porsche parts.
I doubt there are any small tube exhausts left that are new. If order from a Porsche dealers their parts list will always show the latest updated part number and I think the big tube exhaust has been around since 2002.

Hi Loren,
I need your help again please! last unit crapped out - got a replacement but no code with it.
Model :CDR 23 / BE 6611
Serial : 25012749.
Thanks again!
From the Lost Radio Code FAQ...
"CDR-23 (or later):
These radios do not have a security code - that is, not that the user enters.
These radios are security tested on the MOST (fiber optic bus) system to see if they are the "programmed" radio. The radios are programmed and recognized by the car’s DME and can only be replaced by a shop with a PST2 or PIWIS. These radios will not request a code when battery power is disconnected."- 1

Most US/Canada cars had AC standard. In many other countries AC was an option or was under manual control only.

What part number did you use?
