Do you have the logo position for 1999 C2 models? I just broke my Carrera logo yesterday while washing the car and have a new one on order. Also, is there a trick to getting the glue that holds the logo off of the car? I know about using dental floss to get the logo off of the car... just need ideas for getting the glue off.

Depends on the model year. On a 996 they changed to one piece in MY02 whereas earlier cars had 3 pieces.996.552.131.04 A03 is the part# I got for "A" in the picture.Is it complete one part including leaft & right trim (where switches & blank buttons are)?
Are "A" & "B" interchangable?

Due to a modification in the body firewall, the brake booster bellows and seal at the body fire wall was changed during model year '00 (Y). Replacement brake boosters are only available with the latest style bellows. The vehicles that will require modification when replacing the brake booster were produced before September 13, 1999. -
I'm sure you mean PCM 2 (not PCM 3).
There have been a half dozen TSBs for problems on the Cayenne with PCM2 so your dealer should likely have a look at your car.
Interesting also is that the MY05 Cayenne's will get PCM 2.1 which is a updated and upgraded system.

Due to capacity constraints of our supplier, option 403 (19" Carrera S Wheel) is currently unavailable for 997 110.Dealers have already begun to see 997 Carrera and Carrera S models arriving with PCM faceplates which now include telephone controls. PAG confirms that this was a running change in preparation for the release of a new North American option. The option will be called Phone Module for PCM and will allow users with a GSM phone to insert their SIM card and use the PCM as a hands-free telephone. This option should be released for production within the next two months.The new faceplate is now the worldwide standard and will come on all 997 and 987 models that have PCM. Cayenne will get a similar faceplate with the start of MY06 production.
The recently published MY05 order guide mistakenly shows Sport Exhaust (XLF) as “Standard” on the Carrera Coupe (997110). This should read “Not Available”. Sport Exhaust will be opened for ordering later in the model year but only for Carrera S Coupe1) Carrera S Wheel Painted Black (CDB) – regardless of the car’s body color, you can now order the center section of Carrera S wheels in glossy non-metallic black paint. This is available for immediate ordering on any 997 Carrera or Carrera S which has also been ordered with the Carrera S wheel (option 403 for 997110, standard on 997120). MSRP for option CDB is $1,915US and $2,680CAD. 2) Floor Mats With Colored Trim (CX1) – order this option and you will get mats in interior color with your choice of contrasting color for the leather trim and the background of the model logo. While adding this option to an order, eDCS will prompt you to select red, blue, yellow, or grey as the contrasting color. The model logo will be in silver and the carpet color for Natural Grey interiors will be black. When you see "trim", it means "compensation". As far as I know GM invented this term. Fuel trim in the positive side indicates the computer (DME) is adding fuel and, of course, the negative side indicates computer is subtracting fuel. For example - As the pump pressure starts to decay or the fuel filter begins to clog, the computer will respond by adjusting long-term fuel trim numbers in an attempt to get short-term fuel trim back to zero correction. The computer keeps tables of both short term and long term compensation (or trim).
If you do a Google search on "fuel trim" you will likely come across more technical articles on it - but not likely aimed at Porsche cars.

The codes mean that you are getting too much gas and the DME can not compensate for it. My info comes from the Porsche ODB II manual.

US/Canada cars do not get phones so they do not have the wiring.
Are you talking about option M618? Because the wire colors don't match for the Handy option.

P300 Is a misfire in several cylinders - P301 is cylinder 1, P302 is cylinder 2, P303 is cylinder 3.Well then misfire codes are still there P0300 ,P0301,P0302,P0303. Does ayone have any idea what this could be before I have to give in and go to the dealer? TIAIf the spark plugs and wires on that side of the engine are ok - then you may have bad intake leak on that side - or a VarioCam sensor problem on that side.

Hmm... I don't know of a new harness. Only new harnesses are for TT Aerokit and Cab. Have they checked the two microswitches? And have they done Scouser's trick of cleaning the connector electrical connections (corrosion)?

P1128 could be any intake (or exhaust leak). This includes the oil filler cap and hose, the oil separator, gas cap, as well as any loose or leaking hoses.
Do a search for P1128 and you will find several lengthy discussions and several solutions.

Yes. you can get an OBD II Manual for your model year/DME.
The bad news is these were $200 when I bought mine 2 years ago - now I understand they are $800 :eek:
So be sure and get a quote before ordering

Almost all the base codes are. Later DME's have additional codes and their are still Porsche specific codes for ABS, PSM etc.
