Thank you Loren. Just curious where did you get this information from? 7L is the amount of oil that regular V6 engine takes. Does Turbo not add any additional oil capacity?
Does anyone know how much oil goes into twin turbo V6 engine during oil chance? I assume its the same Mobile one 5-40 synthetic that other engines use. Also, I have found out durametric toolkit, which worked so well in my 2012 Cayenne S doesn't work for 2016 models to reset the maintenance cluster. Anyone has experience using FOXWELL NT530 PORSCHE DIAGNOSTIC SCANNER TOOL? Thank you, Mike
Deilenberger, there are some subtle hints that these parts are made in China. update...the problem with my window control panel weren't those up/down buttons. it was a child lock button. Before ordering anything on Ebay or anywhere else , I decided to take off the control panel just to see how easy it is. Let me tell you, it is not. there are 4 metal lock clips, two on each side of the controller. you have to push all 4 in and then pull the controller up. I slid 4 Credit cards between the controller and the door panel and used credit cards to push the metal clips. I suppose you can use flat screw driver but I was afraid to damage the door panel. It took me a good half an hour to wiggle the credit cards just enough for the clips to be push in and for the control panel to become loose. I suppose if you are replacing the controller you can just yank it up, and forget about broken clips. Once I took the window controller off, I realized what the issue is. One of the small plastic clips holding the bottom half of the controller to the top one, broke, so when i pushed on the window lock button, the bottom of the controller moved down instead of pressing the actual button. The way those things are designed is the buttons that you press, are located on the top half of the controller, they have long plastic shafts that go all the way to the bottom of the controller where it is just the circuit board with small buttons mounted on it. The bottom half is snapped in into the top half with small plastic clips. If you press your buttons hard, or push into the controller from the top, those plastic clips will break and the controller will stop working or will work intermittently. Anyways, i soldered a metal paperclip into the plastic of side of the window control panel instead of the broken plastic clip. You potentially can superglue top and bottom parts, though, I am not sure if superglue will be able to withstand freezing temperatures. The controller is working so I ended up not buying anything for now, though I am still interested how the Chinese parts hold up, in case the paperclip gives way and switch will break before I sell my car.
I have 2012 Cayenne. My rear window lock button stopped working. I have to literally press it 10 times at various angles in order to lock unlock it. I don't use this button much , but its still very annoying. Do they hold up or do they fade in a year or does chrome on them rub off after the first car wash?
When I press the button to open it or tilt up the sunroof, i hear couple of clicks from the button area, but the sunroof remains closed. Do you know what the issue might be? Your help would be greatly appreciated. 2012 Cayenne S
I have a 2012 Cayenne S. It doesn't have a dash clock, which I would like to have. I see on Ebay I get get an OEM dash clock assembly with a trim panel for about $450. the question is, Is my car pre-wired for the dash clock and can I simply plug the new clock in or do I need an additional wiring harnesses, and is the center speaker going to be in the way and would need to be replaced with some other center speaker designed for a clock being there, or is it all compatible? Thank you

I am about to do rear brake job for my '12 Cayenne S. Where are you getting instructions on how to do that, alldatadiy or somewhere else? My rotors appear to be OK, and have never been cut, whats is a standard practice for this car, should I replace them as well, or just replace the pads?

My 2012 Cayenne S developed a strange power windows problem. This is happening on one of the rear windows from either button (drivers door or the button on rear door). If you hold the button to close the window on the door or if you press the button on the drivers door for one touch closing the window. The window closes all the way and then immediately opens up again to half way. The only way to close it is to either close it inch by inch, crawling up the the top or by pulling the window up while it tries to close with both hands on both side of the window. This is pretty annoying. It started couple of days ago. May be some salt from the road got inside when the window was opened with salt deposits on it and its causing some issue? I really am not sure how power windows work on this car and if this is a common issue that other people have encountered. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
