  1. The foglights are H11. I checked with Hella -who makes most of this stuff for PAG- and they don't have a replacement bulb other than the standard one.
  2. The opening for the PCM is a double DIN . In case of the CDR23 , there is a single DIN used as a tray.
  3. One of the reasons can be that the car has the offroad package where a plastic trim is attached to the fenders. Because of the extra trim, the edge of the fender is more to the outside and make the wheels look like they are too far inside the wheel well. In this situation spacers are a good option.
  4. I have installed the alu trim and it's very easy. You pull out the original trims by hand or with a screwdriver and push in the new trim. The instructions that came with the car show you how to remove the cover on the center console.
  5. Chris, You better connect the door sills to the front footwell lighting. Much easier than what is described in the TSB.
  6. Hi Fred, You need to align the car to RoW Turbo specs : Front Camber USA 0' +/- 15' Camber ROW -30' +/- 15' max difference left to right 20' Rear Camber USA and ROW -1d 25' +/- 15' max difference left to right 15' Regards, Gert.
  7. If it's the Tip shifter knob : 955.426.069.00 PCS for black. The alu shifter gate (part#7) : 955.55.261.00 4W9
  8. Rick, are these the Porsche running boards ? They just don't look like the one I see over here.
  9. Here in Belgium we have a company that engraves the VIN # in any important part of the car as a theft prevention. They then put these 2x5" stickers around the engravements on the windows to make it clear that the car is "tagged". Sounds like a good idea to solve this problem.
  10. The PIWIS is the successor of the PST2. A bit bigger, windows platform, full color LCD screen. Apart from the PST2 functions, it also has all the technical info, TSB's, SIT's. The menu is like a browser. I wouldn't be surprised if you can send emails with this thing! I know there is a special version for the UK, but I can't tell for the US. Anyone seen it? Let's hope the dealers no longer need their PST2's in the future ;)
  11. These tips all have a dent like that. Probably to clear the pipe to the muffler.
  12. Just wondering, how accurate is this kind of info ? Do they make a difference between a serious engine problem and a dripping rear windscreen washer ?
  13. The cars I have seen all had the grills painted in silver.
  14. You need a pair of original (or dual) Turbo or C4S exhaust tips because only these tips will match the exhaust contours of the Turbo/C4S rear bumper cover. The piece of pipe of the original exhaust tips needs to be modified so it connects the new exhaust tips with the original mufflers.
  15. Interesting thread. This should be the list of the Eisenmann numbers for all the -optional-996 tail pipes: EP 4110 : big oval 996 3.4L ('99-'01) EP 4120 : dual tip 996 '02- C2/C4 (no GT3, no C4S) EP 6120 : dual tip 996TT/GT2 EP 7120 : dual tip 996C4S
  16. The Turbo twin tips are 6120 so the ones you have (4120) must be for the C4S or the '02- C2/C4 If the tips are only 10 cm long, they are the C4S version. When they are about 15 cm long and come with a piece of extention pipe, they are the ones for the '02- C2/C4 cars

    cd changer

The CDR 23 does have MOST bus and can be connected to the CDC-4.
  18. The Becker Monza is not compatible with MOST. I'll update the website :P
  19. Loren, Does this list applies to US cars only? I have a list of MOST cables and only some of the part#'s match your list. So maybe I have the European list ? Thanks.
  20. Something is wrong with the part#. First of all, the color code for maritime blue is H03. Even with H03, the part turns out to be unknown. Also, part#'s with ...983.xx are known to be seat belts for the rear.
  21. It is my understanding that you also need a Most-bus connection cable if the car didn't come with the optional "pre-wiring for CD changer". This cable does not come in the CDC-4 retrofit package. The Most cable to connect the changer is different for the cars with Bose sound system and/or telephone module. Any of you guys have the list of cables that applies to the US cars?
